Ghost 7.5 and optiplex 755

Hi All

 

We had planned to download the image to these machines today using Ghostcast server 7.5. The problem we have is that we cannot use multicast. We can only use unicast. On all the other dells, NECs, etc around school, there are no problems. If we do decide to choose multicast, the image will only download at 64mb per second, where if you have all the machines connected to individual sessions, the image downloads at a rate of 500 ~ 600 mbps.

 

Does anyone know why this is. I dont want to be using unicast and setting up every PC as an individual session. Has anyone else had this problem?

 

Ive had a look on the symantec site https://forums.symantec.com/syment/board/message?board.id=109&message.id=14626 but they seem an upgrade is needed, which means spending more money

We had an issue with a batch of Dells and Ghost turned out to be the hidden recovery partition. Had to fdisk that partition then run it again it was fine.
