MS Azure for Students

Understand that we can use this as we are a school and get $100 of free credit. Tried it but when pupil tries to login with school email it says 'academic status cannot be verified'

 

How do we get past this?

Does your school email address have ".org" in it? I`ve heard a few people struggle with similar and it was the .org bit confusing the Microsoft system, there is a workaround though via their support channels.

no were using .sch.uk (thought we also have a .org alias setup) stupid question but where do you go for the support chanels?

Can they sign up with https://signup.azure.com/studentverification?offerType=1&srcurl=https:%2F%2Fazure.microsoft.com%2Ffree%2Fstudents not used this but interested in it, would have thought you could allocate it somehow to students on their behalf or have the email domain validated.

Tells them that 'unable to confirm your university ID'

Damn looks like you have to be FE/HE to use it. Thought i'd seen a post that said it was available for schools

I`d start by going to your Microsoft provider, whoever you currently buy your licensing from. They`ll have access to your Microsoft agreement and depending on their partner status, be able to get the support on your behalf.
