Morning all,

 

Is anyone using the Official UniFi Hosting - 100 device limit for (I believe) $199pa (£160)?

 

This is in direct replacement to an on-site Cloud Key.

No but sounds interesting, seems to have quirks using the UDM Pro

 

We use a mixture of Nano HD and U6 discs

 

That said I think a lot of it is our site, for an 850pupil school we often see over 1000 wifi connected devices

I read it as 100 Unifi devices, rather than client numbers, but it is a valid question whether there's a hard limit here too.

 

Even a small Primary could easily hit 100 client connections.

It's unifi devices, not clients.

 

Really handy for multi site environments.

Official UniFi Hosting is good if you only use UniFi network devices like APs or Switches. You can optionally pair with a UXG series gateway for full-stack UniFi networking.

The new Dream Machine Pro Max might be a better option. It can support up to 200 UniFi devices, there is no subscription and it's also a firewall, but it's not fully cloud based.
