Minecraft edu - help please

Hi, we use a WatchGuard filtering system and i am having issues unblocking the Minecraft Edu Library.

 

I have put in exceptions for the domains it listed, but i still cant download or see the library games,

 

any idea what i need to unblock?

 

Help much appreciated- now pulling hair out after 2 hours

Are you not able to see live traffic via WatchGuard?

Yep all in exceptions....

 

trying to see traffic in WatchGuard is a bit of a nightmare - i can only see what policy is blocked which doesn't help me.

yes all deployed-- i just can't seem to unblock the library - the boxes show, but the actual maps and challenges wont download.

Pretty sure its a https inspection thing, do you use the WatchGuard as your filtering appliance or another service?

 

We had to make sure inspection was disabled for the domain education.minecraft.net otherwise students couldn't download maps (none of the thumbnails loaded for the download buttons)

+1 on https inspection.

It’s all well and good whitelisting the addresses but that only tend to be for filtering. I find we have to whitelist from https inspection and authentication (auth part only because we have some schools using legacy authentication method in smoothwall.
