For the past month, we have been having issues with Google Workspace staff members using the traffic layer and Google Street View in Google Maps. The traffic layer is greyed out and when dragging the yellow man to the road for street view it just doesn't do anything.

Has anyone else experienced this issue recently? I have contacted Google but they are not very helpful and say that Maps is not supported under the SLA.

Nothing has changed with our settings, all staff have been marked as 'Over 18' and it works perfectly fine if the staff member signed out of their Workspace account

Can't help you with most of that... The 'Traffic' layer is not selectable for us, neither is the 'Cycle' layer but I have no reason as to why.

However, I have found though to get Street View, what works is to click to select a point on a street (drop a pin) and a pop-up should appear at the bottom of the screen with a 'Street View' image and if you click on that you go into Street View mode...

These are similar instructions from when I researched how to get Street View mode on my iPhone...

Unfortunately Google Workspace seems to interact with the rest of Google in mysterious, undocumented and (as you've found) unsupported ways... There might be something in the settings, but I've never had enough time to go through every setting...

For instance I have this...

No idea why and nobody else seems to get it either (or at least nobody has ever replied to that post)...

I have seen something similar before. However this happened when we used google.co.uk/maps, if I switched to google.com/maps it didnt happen. Not sure if this would help the situation but worth a try if you can adjust URLS

It seemed to be an issue with SafeSearch settings breaking .co.uk but not .com

Interesting, but the Google Maps we see is .com

However, when I opened an 'Incognito' tab everything worked... I could select the 'Traffic' tab and drop into Street View!

Safe Search is still on even in 'Incognito'
