Map with feeder primaries

I have been asked to produce a map with pinned locations of all feeder primary schools on.

 

First thought that comes to mind is making a custom map on google maps, and pinning them all on there, screenshotting and adding to a document, then print on A2.

 

Does anyone have any other way they would go about doing this? I'm thinking that they may want the locations labelling too.

I'd probably screenshot google maps (or maybe https://explore.osmaps.com/ https://www.osmap.uk/ if you want a more traditional map style) and then use photoshop/gimp (or even just PowerPoint) to put the pins in.

I *think* it's free for the bits you're asking for.

Better to have a vector map unless you can fake screenshot at very high res. Open Street Map has some tools
