How long is it taking for a subscription in GSuite to become active at the moment?

I set up one of my schools with android enterprise free management in their GSuite 2 years ago and it took about 30 minutes for the sub to become active and able to manage apps and devices.

I've attempted to set up another school yesterday evening from home and the subscription says active, but I can't enable the custom management with advanced for android? Lots of warnings about my license needing an upgrade?

I'm a bit confused and concerned that for some reason despite the 2 GSuite instances being set up within months of each other initially and licensed identically - fundamentals but with the Android Enterprise Free, that I'm not going to be able to enable this for some reason?

Android device management is only includes in Plus and Standard licencing now. You can buy a licence on a per user basis separate to this if you are on Fundermentals. This change was announced at BETT this year.

But I already have it set up at another school? Does this mean that I will lose this at the school it's already set up at some point or can I just not add it to a new gsuite?

I thought that was the case, but it doesn't seem to be working? Where are you thinking it needs to be enabled?

Bit confused as to why you can add android enterprise management for free, if it won't work on the version of Gsuite you're trying to add it to?
