Hi!

Businesses and schools that have a significant amount of old devices will have to start planning in their budget plan to purchase devices which are not Windows 11 compatible. Has anyone got a batch file that can be used on a domain controller which continually checks all the devices on the domain and sorts them into a location on the server to show which devices is and is not compatible for windows 11. This way we can automate this process across dozens of schools rather than individually auditing each device. We can more efficiently gather device information and will be able to gather a percentage for each school on how many devices they will need to upgrade ready for when Windows 10 finishes.

Action1 does all this nicely, and can also push out W11 if needed. its free for 100 devices

Action 1 is for a cloud based remote monitoring and management platform. Most of our schools mainly have on premise infrastructure so install operating systems we do this via pre execute boot environment. I just a script to put on the server which gathers information on all the connected devices on the server so we can see which devices would be incompatible for when we eventually need to migrate over to Windows 11 completely. Then I can put up a plan on which devices we'll eventually start to replace .
