I'm getting the same at the moment and cleaning the registry manually on the two suites it's currently happening on is going to be difficult.

Following the linked article, we weren't seeing the multiple versions of the app at all. We are running Delprof once a day on a suite of machines and for the last few days we haven't had the issue at all. Will keep an eye on it after half term.
