Migrate from Stream Classic to Stream on Sharepoint

Hi all,

 

I am in the process of migrating all of my users videos from Stream Classic to Stream on SharePoint, given that classic retires after Easter. The first batch I am doing are the users with only 1 or 2 videos to start with to see how the process works; I am using the built in migration tool from Microsoft.

 

Under Migration Status, the current batch of videos I processed having been saying 'finalising' for almost an hour now. Does it normally take this long? And what experience have other people had using the migration service?

The tool seems a bit of a dark art - some users with terabytes worked fast while others with gigs took ages

 

Generally I just let it run as required - you can queue them up and just check back tomorrow etc
