Our SIMS agreements end on 31st March 2024. We are moving to Bromcom.

Our timetabler would like to continue using Nova-T6 at least until the new timetable in Bromcom is fully released.

Does anyone know of there is any sort of license requirement to use NOVA T Satellite as a standalone product with no link or connection to SIMS?

My notes for installing Nova-T6 Satellite include this line:

License File:

Place a copy of S:\SIMS\SNOVA\NOVAT\MLICENCE.DAT into C:\SNOVA\NOVAT. It will be needed when launching the Nova-T6 satellite application.

I do remember having to write that after the software was grumbling about missing a license.

I'd always thought that Nova-T was it's own product, but it was just the timetabling solution that Capita chose to bundle with SIMS. I could be wrong.

It might be physical separate software in the satellite version - but it's never been physically separate licensing - i.e we've never had to decide if we want to pay £xx a year just for NovaT or not - seems to be bundled with SIMS?
