AppleTV 4k WiFi supervision

Does anyone know if it's possible to supervise AppleTV 4k WiFi (no ethernet port) via configurator please?

Ethernet models are easy but going round in circles with this model and Apple support aren't interested if they're not being used at home.

Cheers - unfortunately thats an article I've already stumbled across, and it negates one large issue - once you go through the setup far enough to allow pairing, Configurator requires you to erase and start again, and no longer paired

It wipes it to attach it to the MDM,

 

Mosyle is free for Apple TVs IIRC (used to be atleast)

Yeah, we're using Mosyle and will likely just have to manually add it to there, I'd just like to be able to add it to ASM too.

I've been struggling with this and as soon as you prepare the device the message appears to say that the device needs to be erased and then it restores and disconnects and you are back to the beginning. Is there another way of adding this Apple TV to Mosyle?

Yeah, we're using Mosyle and will likely just have to manually add it to there, I'd just like to be able to add it to ASM too.

 

You can use DEP..now called ADE to enrol the Apple TV into ASM

I've figured it out how to add the device manually to mosyle. I found these instructions on Apple's support page.

 

For Apple TV re-enrolment, after the MDM profile is removed, the device can be manually enrolled in the new MDM solution. To manually re-enrol in tvOS 15 or later, navigate to Settings > General > Privacy, hover over Share Apple TV Analytics, press Play/Pause, then enter the URL of the enrolment profile.

Thanks - this indeed covers the MDM side of it, and it appears as if the only way to supervise them is if you buy via DEP - not something we'll be doing as a) this model isn't fit for purpose and b) if we replace, we'll get the ethernet enabled models
