Forza Horizon 5 help please

While playing Xbox X we have managed to get ourselves stuck in Forza Horizon 5 game. We were in a race and came off the bridge and somehow fell into a hole with rocks all around us with no way to drive out.

 

I would normally quit the race at this point but neither Mrs Jobos or I can find a way to end the race and we have pressed every button on the controller.

 

Please tell me there is a way out?

Not sure if it's the same in the latest version, but don't you just press the 3 lines button and go restart challenge/map etc still?

Bit late but i believe if you hold down Y or Triangle for a few seconds it resets the car onto the track. If its similar to Forza Horizon 4 there will be some sort of "Rewind" feature also..

I've pressed that button and it just doesn't do anything and neither does the button with the two squares. All the buttons on the controller have been held down for at least 20 seconds.

Yes that would have worked if it was pressed immediately after the event but sadly the wife was driving while I was cooking curry. Who knew it would turn into such a problem!

No help now, but you can go into the menu and I think it is you press one of the sticks and it resets you to the road.

Fonza came free with the Xbox as a download code so was thinking of uninstalling and then reinstalling it but that would be the last option though.
