Web Based eBulletin Software

Hi

 

I am looking for some free web based eBulletin software to work in conjunction with staff briefings. It will be basically be an electronic version of the briefing to stop the paper handouts. It will have 2 entries every week and hold key information for staff relevant for that week. I would like it so a member of the admin staff can login and add the information.

 

Does anyone know of any please?

Aren't you using Moodle Zak? Create a course called "Briefing" or something, add the staff, then create a group (staff) from these members, add the staff and bulk email them. If you have Sharepoint or a Portal in place can you not upload it there?

Its not online yet, its sketchy if it will ever happen now

You could use a Wiki?

Its not ideal. As soon at they access it I want them to see the most up-to-date bulletin and then be able to click the older ones. I want something easy to manage that can be controlled only by admin staff a wiki will be to complex.

Or WordPress - although you can run it on Windows (with Apache, PHP and MySQL) it's a lot easier to maintain on Linux. If you've not got a spare box or a Linux server handy, you could always run VMWare server (the free solution). It's what we're doing for our internal site.
