Entrysign - School Lates/Register Overwriting Marks

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just had entrysign installed and wanted to use it for lates on AM registration.

We have not gone live yet but have noticed a potential problem.

8.50am - A staff member opens their register and leaves it open on Sims , and slowly marks their class.

8.51am - A student uses entrysign to mark as a Late, This leaves an "L" on Sims, and marks a comment . ( i have verified Entrysign has marked the pupil as late on sims )

8.53am - A staff member closes the register, the L does not show on their register as they opened it before the student "came in late" . When they close sims it will mark any students missing with a N.

Conclusion - The L mark set by entrysign is changed to an "N" and the comment stays on the mark.

How has anyone got around this ? Surley we are not the only school that have had this problem, this happened on the 4th pupil we tried. Im assuming this will happen a lot more often and i just happen to test it at the correct time.

Good Morning,

Hope you're well.

If you would like to provide us with some contact detail's through a private instance, our support team would be happy to investigate the MIS and EntrySign setup to find out why the 'L' mark written by EntrySign is being overwritten with the 'N' mark.

Kind regards,

EntrySign Support.

Hi Entrysign ,

This was fixed by a support technician .

We now have setup set timings for Sim Syncs ( set after registration ) . This stops the conflicting marks being entered ( registers being in "Edit" mode while students are using the system )

Many thanks
