TwistedHelixis Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Just recently moved over to Action1 for client updates / patching. I was just on a client PC and noticed that on its updates page, it lists the 23H2 update as being available, with a click here to install. All other monthly updates are being download & installed on client machines. Just wondering why the 23H2 update doesn't seem to be installing itself?
DaveTheTech Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Hi, I'd guess that this is because its a feature update. What current version is that PC on?
TwistedHelixis Posted December 4, 2023 Author Posted December 4, 2023 Hi, That one is on 22H2, but just noticed some are on 21H1 :-(
DaveTheTech Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Definately sounds like feature updates are handled slightly differently than your regular updates
TwistedHelixis Posted December 4, 2023 Author Posted December 4, 2023 Think I have just found them. They are listed in the app deployment section, rather than the Windows update section.
Edu-IT Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 How have you set it to auto download and install updates?
TwistedHelixis Posted December 5, 2023 Author Posted December 5, 2023 From what I can see, in Action1 the feature updates are deployed from the Apps updating system, they are not part of the normal Windows patching / update system. When you are in the Apps list, type Windows into the search box and it comes up with the Windows feature updates. Just running a few tests over the next week or so.
