Hi,

Recently I have taken on a school that uses cannon photocopiers and UniFlow as a printing solution. The school aren't massive fans, but the trust they are part of say it has to be in all schools. The network connection at school historically hasn't been great, we've only recently moved to fibre and put WAP's in every room so wireless devices are struggling a lot less. However, everytime I visit the school (I give half a day's support a week) there always seems to be an issue. No matter how much we work on, there is always a user that cannot print, now it's from PC connected directly to a network point. I have spoken to the company and they won't give me an admin login so I can't see if there are any problems on the printers side, cannon point at UniFlow and UniFlow point at Cannon, Any ideas on where I could go from here? I'm going around in circles.

Cheers

Is this hosted Uniflow or on-prem Uniflow?

9/10 times the issue is not with Uniflow but with Windows printer deployment, however that is done where you are.

I have schools on both systems - have you checked error logs on the PCs that can't print to see if there are any relevant windows errors? Do the people who are having issues just not have a printer installed or does it error sending the job?

We have issues on our hosted site where windows monthly updates seem to kill printing for some users after the initial reboot to install the update, but a second reboot restores everything?

Thanks, I'll have a look to see if the updates are interfering. There's no error message popping up when printing. From the PC, it looks to have sent, it joins the que of documents, however just doesn't show up on the printer.
