Looking for Insights: Successful Blockchain Pilots for Enterprises

I'm currently exploring the landscape of blockchain applications in enterprise settings and would love to hear about any successful pilots that have gained substantial traction. If you've been involved in or are aware of blockchain initiatives within the enterprise realm that have demonstrated tangible results, I'd greatly appreciate your insights

Blockchain is for the most part completely irrelevant to ICT in education.

 

The only potential upside is the immutability of the blockchain/record, and there's only one thing I can think of that needs that: backups.

And we already have that... they're called immutable backups.

Bit off topic sorry but something that has been rattling around my head. I have very limited knowledge of blockchain but would it be suited to certificates or course accreditations? Could it be the future of exam results, you supply your academic wallet and your employer could check your credentials to see if you really did get that Diploma or pass that safety course?

I can't see it being viable for certifications/qualifications. For it to be adopted, you'd basically need a load of trusted organisations to serve up wallet hosting services, etc. to make it usable enough to bother with, at which point you may as well just stick with some conventional certificates.

 

IMO blockchain still looks to be a solution in search of a problem, but that's not to say I'm not interested in what might crop up in this thread.

If certificates were public then the problem of trying to get copies decades in the future when companies have merged and died over and over would be less

 

Public blockchain, everyone has a public/private keypair, eg your government digital id card, companies digitally sign a certificate that says you completed a course, you sign a request to prove you are that person.
