Is Youtube serving up Adult Content in Ads?

I've had a user report that although the content filtering is working normally for sites, they were served an Ad for LoveHoney through Youtube today. I know about restricted mode and how to restrict advertising categories. However, those settings are only available if logged in. Also, what they sell doesn't neatly fit into (oo-err!) any of these categories:

 

I suspect it's impossible to avoid this with any degree of certainty, short of using a Youtube Premium account. Does anyone have similar experience or advice?

Not sure if any of this will help as you don't say what you actually have in place at the moment in terms of mitigations, but there is a similar thread here:

There haven't been any complaints here, so I haven't needed to look into it and therefore can't tell you if what we do actually stops those kind of adverts or not...

 

Can't remember exactly as it was all set up so long ago, but we have an LGfL setting iirc (defaults non-signed in users to 'restricted' YouTube), a Chrome GPO setting safe/restricted mode (maybe deprecated now), all teachers need to be logged in to their Google Account (and the default YouTube setting is strict restricted and approved videos only), we also have uBlock Origin.

If you use Smoothwall there's a setting to block adverts.

it is a pity that school can't just use youtube player for education

With YouTube Restricted Mode, you can filter out potentially mature videos while leaving most videos available. When you turn on Restricted Mode for any version of Google Workspace: Users can't see comments on the videos they watch or upload videos to YouTube. Ad personalization settings aren't modified.
