[sims] Printing - Single Sided

Morning All,

 

Can anyone tell me where the print settings are in SIMS? We keep having stuff come out double sided and our SIMS manager wants them single sided. I've changed the printer driver to be single sided only but it's not made a difference. I feel I'm missing something obvious.

In FMS I think I remember that it had its own Print Manager interface where you could set printing preferences. It was a drop-down off the main menu - I'll try to find a screen shot.

 

I can't recall so clearly about the rest of SIMS.

 

Edit: It seems like the menu I was recalling only allowed you to select the printer you were printing to—the station's default printer or another. Useful (essential!) if the print run was for a cheque run.

I think SIMS takes its defaults from the printer driver preferences, so you need to go into Control Panel | Devices and Printers and setup what you need there.

Yes - I have done that and set single side.

This seems like an obvious question, but one where you haven't yet ruled out the answer - is it only SIMS that is affected?

Hi @garethedmondson. I was hopeful that knowing that it was limited to SIMS would be helpful when searching.

 

Unfortunately, my searches have not turned up anything useful.

 

Moreover, I am having difficulty recalling troubleshooting SIMS steps I might have used (it's been a while!)

 

I can only think to ask now if the same problem is seen if you try the same task at different stations?
