Easily clear out an Ipad ready for a new member of staff to use?

What is the best way of clearing out a managed ipad on apple school manager and mosyle? We don't want to drop it off the MDM etc completely as it becomes a load of hassle to get it back and on the wireless etc - which I believe is what happens if you do the "Rest Ipad" in the settings? For some reason the "Erase content and settings" option is greyed out.

Anyone an expert in this I don't want to send an ipad out that is logged on to something and checking each app and setting is a big job prone to human error.

Thanks

You can remove all profiles and apps by moving it to limbo, then add it to a shared cart/1:1 device to install the appropriate apps and profiles for the teacher.

Ooh interesting, and that deffo gets rid of any logged in caches passwords etc?

I usually move it to limbo then Erase all content and settings - just to make sure. OK, so you have to wait a few moments while it restores then rejoin it to the Wi-Fi, but then it just pulls down the profiles from the MDM and it's good to go. I did a shared trolley of 32 in less than an hour during the summer.

Sadly not, however it will remove whichever profile is stopping you from hitting 'erase all content and settings' on the iPad

I used to give my personal iPad this way, and of course, I wanted to erase all the data before giving it. So, the best and most efficient way to clear the iPad while keeping it under MDM management is to use the remote wipe feature available in your MDM solution (Mosyle in your case).
