I'm looking at hotels to stay on the Wednesday that are more budget friendly... does anyone know if I would be able to walk from the Ibis hotel on crown point road? Or is that a stupid idea for any other reason?

I've never been that far north so have no idea about the area, but don't want to have to walk miles to get over the river if there's no pedestrian bridge, for example.

It looks doable on Google maps, it's where I've booked for Monday night!

Yeah that's what I thought, though I've been stung for trusting mapping software in the very recent past. What should have been a shortcut turned out to be a farm track accessable only to tractors or large farm machinery. I was not amused.

If it's at the location on this map, you'll be fine! It's half the distance from train station to royal armories. 12min walk ar worst case, there are pelican crossings for the main roads.

Fortunately Leeds is simple to navigate and when you have Google Maps, it's even easierScreenshot_20231005_040541_Maps.jpg

Hi, I submitted the form a few weeks ago for a non educator ticket and emailed over last week querying if any tickets available. Who would be best to confirm if any availability for tickets? :D I'd love to attend but will be traveling up from Essex!

Hi Mel, You can still attend, just turn up tomorrow and you can get your ticket via the rather wonderful registration kiosk that EntrySign have provided for the conf :)

Sorry to have to break the news that I will not be able to attend

I was looking forward to it

and hoping that that hippie would not force me to stay in the pub after for an extra couple of hours again like he did last time!!!

anyway - I was even prepared to chip in with some stories to help out

I had a wonderful session prepared called "Sheds I have Known"

to make sure no-one got bored I had even trimmed it down to a 2 hour PowerPoint !!!!

but anyway - other things have come up that I can;t skip so I'll have to skip it - and the pub

Have a good time everyone!!

Do we have the recording up somewhere yet? Some of my colleagues are keen to see what I was up to :)

Hi Tom, not long back home. We shall be putting them all up together once we have all the PPT's in, as some speakers had to remove some slides and other info for a variety of reasons.

Hopefully we'll have this done by Friday as @ZeroHour has a very long travel today and won't be home until bedtime!
