HP switch firmware

Getting HP switch firmware used to be easy download from site how do you get now after the wallies from HPE have changed it?

 

Can I just register if I have an older HP switch or do I need an orginal proof of purchase?

The ASP is just register for firmware

 

It can be a pain to search for it sometimes as doing something like 1950 will bring lots of rubbish up, so worth trying to get the actual firmware number to search for though

I did find with the CX switches we had that I could not see the firmware but it was a simple matter of ringing them up, logging a call and giving a serial number then it appeared. But yes it used to be a much simpler process.
