Configuring Intervention Register Marks

Another member recently queried in Bromcommunity about an issue with marking attendance for interventions. They noted that there was no option to mark a register as 'O' for students who don't attend interventions, as 'N' is changed to '/' by the attendance officer if the student is physically in school.

Thanks to the helpful response of another member, it was highlighted that while schools can configure which marks teachers can use for lesson and intervention registers, it's an all-or-nothing setting. Enabling 'O' would apply to all lessons. It was suggested that a change in policy or procedure might be a more effective solution when experiencing this.

Hi all,

The Teacher App has been updated with a new UI that will provide teachers with an improved user experience. Please note, that we are implementing a phased release of the new UI and rolling it out incrementally to our users.

Important: Teachers will need to update to the latest version of the app unless they have auto-updates enabled for all apps on their device settings.

The Teacher App has a new look and feel, and users will only see a few minor updates to the functionality.

I'd like to see some actually useful AI stuff, like report writing AI generation and performance management reviews from the app.

 

We've had to purchase an AI product for reports and its very good so Would be nice to have this ability in the Bromcom app so teachers could generate or dictate reports quickly.

The BromCommunity provided a valuable solution, suggesting that while Bromcom can handle this, it might be more efficient to use a Quick Report. By using the "Students (Basic)" domain in Advanced mode and adding assessment data, the desired report can be created without overloading the system with a large marksheet.

If a marksheet is necessary, it was recommended to create a subject called "Baseline" and then adding the required data items as Review-only columns, selecting the specific subjects needed.

Using a Behaviour Event with Multiple Pathway Actions in Bromcom

Finding Timetable Gaps in Bromcom (Community Question and Answer)

Had a demo of Arbor last week and their AI features were very impressive. The one time I used the Bromcom "AI" that was so hyped at Bett a few years ago it was simply a chatgtp embed as far as I could tell. Basically it was extremely disappointing.

 

Hopefully you've improved it now so that its school data aware?

 

I know arbor could book a room with the chatbot and do simple analysis on school data. This is really what AI should be about.
