Microsoft discontinuing Wireless Display Adaptors

FYI, heard though a another edu forum, With the merging of the surface development teams, MS has decided to discontinue the Wireless Display Adaptors, although it hasn't been publicly announced yet.

 

I know a few of my local stores have already discounted them and run them out on clearance.

Yep, saw a number of retailers not offering display adapaters over the past couple of weeks, particularly the 4k version.

 

Such a shame as they kind of just worked (mostly) and didn't break the bank.

They were useful for converting rooms where we didn't have smartboards but I found that Windows 11 didn't work with them after a certain update.
