MatthewL Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Question for all. If you have an auto attend with a message on and does its business, in the past when we have had a incident of major note as such we have added a pre message saying we are aware of such incident and are dealing with it and if your issue is something else continute to hold it continutes to do its usual call queue messages, in phone speak is there a term for that pre message? I've done it before many years ago and it worked but our current supplier seem to be struggling and just want to know what this would be classed as so I can go to them. Cheers
pete Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 I'd say: "How do we easily change the pre-recorded greeting message (.wav file) that plays when people call us?. Can we do that at 3am if the school burns down, or do you have to do it?" Ideally you'll have a few pre-recorded (Normal, Holidays, Delayed response, Lockdown) greetings to pick from via a drop-down web UI, plus the ability to record a new one.
mrbios Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Probably varies by provider, but in FreePBX I'm guessing it'd be "announcements"
supportman Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 In microsoft teams, we just update the robot auto attendant welcome message.
