Google Chrome Save Passwords Greyed Out

Hi all.

 

On a school domain, the option for a finance manager to save passwords in Google Chrome is greyed out. Cannot see anything in Group Policy relating to this setting, is there a way to 'ungrey' this option ?

Have you checked the Login data file for the user?

 

Disable password saving in chrome for specific users (bottom of the page)

If your school uses Google Workspace it may be part of the OU policy that they cannot use Password sync

 

Google Domain > Admin > Devices > Chrome > Settings > Users and Browsers > Security

 

If they are signed into the browser and it isnt allowed in there then the function will not work.
