ISC2 Certificate in Cybersecurity? Anyone done it? Decent entry cert?

Looking around for training options for my team, I came across this (and the post on here by @Kitkatninja).

Is it decent? Running through the sample test questions, I'm getting a CompTIA vibe of having to give the "wrong*" answer in order to pass.

*especially around risk mitigation while still being able to do business.

Yeah, I did the training and the exam, although it was the beta exam as I had to wait 2 months for the results...

IMO, the training that ISC2 provided didn't cover everything that they test for in the exam. Like Comptia exams, the CC exam is multiple choice (and poss some drag and drop, but can't really remember). IMO, it is harder than the Comptia exam, but not as hard as the CEH (I failed that my 1 question - 2 points). I would say that it is a decent exam, however while the training and exam is free, the candidate doesn't get the CC certification/credential until they pay the annual $50 fee, plus they have to complete 45 hours of CPE over 3 years.

That's good to know.

15 hours of CPE/year on cybersecurity is useful to the trust - they can do it during work hours and it lets me protectively pad the training days calendar.

We'll reimburse the $50/yr renewal as we benefit from them having the knowledge.
