chekmate1984 Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Hi At present we are having issues with papercut side of things. We have Epson MFPs When user does multiple prints, if a tray is empty it dont go to seocnd tray where A4 is full . So when releaseing jobs the job is canceling so user has to reprint. With our previous setup - Ricoh and Equitrac - users were had print and save option so they can carry on printing elsewhere. Does papercut have something similar?
Steve21 Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Do you specifically want the save option? As normally the printers have the option to auto switch tray, so in your scenario that’s probably in the Epson settings Then when it runs out it will just redirect to next tray (or bring up the option on screen to pick another tray to use like on Kyocera etc) Steve
chekmate1984 Posted June 13, 2023 Author Posted June 13, 2023 Our epson settings is set to automatic for the tray settings but it just dont want to move on to next tray. Our support provider are useless, they been sitting on this for past 2 months and no news and we cant go to epson for support apparantly!
howartp Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Are both trays configured the same - A4, portrait, plain paper? And/or, have you enabled (not sure the name in Epson) - auto rotate, so if there's an available A4, landscape, plain paper drawer it can use it?
MatthewL Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 There is a setting to check each job and use in conjunction with block the release of jobs when in errors between them two options it might help.
