We are looking to upgrade our art suite and just wondering what people are using in theirs currently

The normal iMac conversation has arisen at the school, but wondering if there’s any “fancier” screens people are using with windows to give a better image but still a decent priced machine

Just the standard Photoshop etc is being used software wise so no real need for anything Mac based

Thanks,

Steve

When we did this a while ago - admittedly this is about a decade now - we went for Iiyama IPS screens. Its similar to what was in Imacs at the time.

Its probably worth looking at the work environment. Glossy screens might give better colour reproduction than matt, but glare can be a problem.

Yeah that sounds like the kind of thing we are after. They have 2011 iMacs currently so hopefully as they are that old it’s be easier to find something similar!

Do you know what model you used out of curiosity? Had a flick through them previously but nothing jumped out to suggest it’ll be Mac like in their range

Only ones I’ve found that sound fancy are the ASUS ProArt range

Thanks,

Steve

Colour accuracy, good screen size (24”+) and QHD+ resolution would be my aims. Look at monitor reviews for the out-of-the box accuracy and 100% for Adobe RGB colour space.
