Log When Laptops Connect to The Server

Is there any software out there that can log when a user connects to a CC3 server?

 

All our teachers have vanilla lappys, but need to connect to the server when they need to print or access the staff shared area.

We want to see when they connect and how often as we think some lappys are staying at home!

Eventlog will show print outs, and DHCP will show them being issued IPs or you could configure their AV to 'check in' with the server.
