[sims] Moved MIS? Archive of SIMS Data

Hi All, There is a lot of information here about moving MIS and chatter about people moving away from SIMS.

 

Just wondering for those who have what they have done about the need to keep some historical data? Attendance, SEND, Communications, Exam Results, telephone and addresses?

 

Have you transferred historical data to the new MIS?

Kept SIMS in a switched off state and switch it on if you need to check anything?

Created an encrypted PDF of the "Person Output" for each pupil?

Created a report of the relevant data and saved as an "encrypted pdf"?

For those of you who have gone "cloud" what happens if you wish to switch cloud provider, are there mechanisms to keep this active even though you don't have a support contract?
