Trying to install Papercut Deploy Client on a MacOS laptop

Hi folks,I am trying to install Papercut Print Deploy Client on an end user's personal MacOS laptop which has had its OS updated to Version Ventura 13.2.1. While I was able to acquire the Mac version of the client off of our Papercut Applications server and deploy it to the end user for her to install it has not been smooth sailing since. Bottom line the end user does not have the ability to print to our new Kyocera printers which utilize Find-Me print queues. Here is what I have done so far:1. Got the end user to verify her native (Mac) print settings on her Mac laptop ensuring that Secure AirPrint is selected. Used a reference document entitled,"Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem"on how to do this from the Apple website.2. Got the end user to install the Print Deploy client on her MacOS laptop. The client installer had to come from us because it contains proprietary settings to connect to our Papercut Applications server.3. Had the end user check to see if she could see the local Find-Me print queue and initially she could but then she went into print settings on her and tried to reset things. Haven't seen this required Find-Me print queue since.4. Attempted to have her reset things back to where they were by repeating Steps 1 and 2. Don't think this has worked.5. Sent the end user the following instructions in the hope that she had installed the client successfully but needed to embed her credentials in the client application to authenticate herself to the printers which would then accept print jobs generated by her on her MacOS laptop:Double-clicking the PCClient application icon in the system’s local Applications folder. The PCClient application should start up, and a small ‘P’ icon should appear in the menubar along the top of this screen. Clicking on the "P" icon you will see an opportunity to enter your credentials to Papercut. These credentials need to be preserved in the client. You need to have this client in order to print and therefore it is necessary for it to open upon startup. So follow these steps:1. Open System Settings from the Apple menu.2. Select General > Login Items and look for the Open at Login section.Note that on older versions of macOS you may have to go into System Preferences > Accounts, then select your login name and finally select the Login Items tab.3. Click + then browse and select the PCClient application (which should now be under your local /Applications folder).4. Test by restarting the computer. The client should start automatically after the reboot and log in procedure is complete. After all this, the end user still cannot print from her MacOS laptop. I am at my wits end. Please keep in mind that I do not have a MacOS device to work with and while I may had some experience with the MacOS it has been a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps what I should do is a massive reset or undo of what I have done so but I am not even sure how to do that. Please get back to me. Thank you.

We use Papercut's Mobility Print for printing from Mac's, iPads & Chromebooks here. Have it running on the same print server that PaperCut MF is running from.

Hi there HarryS, PaperCutter Brenda here! Hoping to help out a bit...

With Print Deploy, you can let Mobility Print take care of your authentication instead of requiring the additional PCClient.

Install Mobility Print on your print server. Then use Print Deploy to push those Mobility Print print queues to your Mac users.

Benefits of this setup:

• Mobility Print takes care of authentication, so no need for Macs to be joined to a domain. Users do have to do a once-off authentication though.

• Print Deploy client can be pushed via your MDM tool.

• With Print Deploy you can also update the driver (PPD) to your manufacturer driver. That will give you access to all your more advanced finishing options like stapling.

Follow this guide: https://www.papercut.com/help/manuals/print-deploy/set-up/set-up-print-deploy/in-a-print-server-environment/computers-not-joined-to-local-domain/

Let me know if this helps out!
