kidpressingbuttons Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Anyone using Lansweeper? Anything you like/dislike? Also interested in the helpdesk they offer with it
DalekSec Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Used it a lot in my last job, very good software if you have the time to invest in setting it up. Want it at new job but not had the time to implement it yet. If you have a large switch infrasture you can see whats on each port etc, simular with servers etc. 1
Norphy Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 If you can afford it, get it. It's an excellent piece of software which has save me a lot of time and heartache over the years. The helpdesk part of it, however, is a lot more basic. It'd do as a ticket response system but if you need something more ITIL orientated you'll need to find something more advanced. 1
FN-GM Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Massive fan of LanSweeper. The data you can get from it is invaluable. The Helpdesk isn’t great though. I wouldn’t use it for that. 1
kidpressingbuttons Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 Thanks all- may change to freshdesk in that case as it integrates
MatthewL Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 We use it to monitor parts of our network, no way near to the full but with multiple sites, network, domains it does make it easier. Probably loads more we can do with it but we chip in without sister company. Not had the time to delve into it further but have some basic bits that we would never be able to do without it.
