DSAGEY Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Hello, We pay for a susbscription/Open Value Subscription for Windows 11 Education edition, since Oct 2022. For some reason, whever Windows has a major update, the following time you logon the machine it says Windows isn't activated - when I check the Product key, it's a total random one and not the one I entered. Does anyone else have this problem? Or know how to solve this issue. Thank you
ThatBoringBloke Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 What type of key are you entering? Is it a MAK key, or a KMS one? If its KMS is the KMS server working? Does it have the key installed?
ThatBoringBloke Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 I'm assuming that if you enter the MAK key back in again it successfully activates?
DSAGEY Posted March 8, 2023 Author Posted March 8, 2023 Yeah it does, but it time consuming doing it on over 100 devices.
tmoon-mint Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 With that many devices it sounds like active directory based activation would work better for you. Activate using Active Directory-based activation - Windows Deployment | Microsoft Learn 2

Activate using Active Directory-based activation - Windows Deployment | Microsoft Learn I agree - that's what you need to setup. Will save a lot of hassle.
