Intune Sophos BYOD deployment

Afternoon,

It has just been suggested that it would be wise to install Sophos on BYOD student devices as executables can be uploaded to 365 and then potentially down to a teachers account.

Looking at Intune it is possible to deploy Sophos to BYOD devices. These staff devices have sophos.

If I put a compliance policy that ensures that the devices have Intune, is that the problem to the solution.

Anyone done this? or is the concern a valid point?

Can your current AV solution integrate into Office 365 and scan for these, saves having to worry about trying to get your own AV solution onto byod devices.
