AutoDesk Fusion 360 - Azure SSO

Hi all,

 

I am looking for a way to enable SSO via Azure Active Directory for AutoDesk Fusion 360. I am looking for a way to register students using their domain username and passwords rather then created new login just to use AutoDesk Fusion 360. I can see within Azure Active Directory that there is an Enterprise Application called 'Autodesk SSO' which I have tried to configure but with no join whatsoever! Has anybody else been faced with the same issue and found a solution? The perfect solution would be to get this enabled for Students using SSO for Autodesk. I have contacted Autodesk Support regarding this matter who have been far from helpful. I can confirm that we do have an Educational License. How to I go about Provisioning student accounts?

 

Any information on how to do this would be gratefully received.

I would like to do this too. Spoke to someone from Autodesk on chat but it was pretty clear he didn't understand what I was trying to do.

I haven't tried it, but it sounds like you need an enterprise account.

 

Maybe I will give it a go, to see how far I get.

I found out from some of my research that if you have an Educational License they don't support SSO via Azure. Once I found that out I stopped my research into this matter. There is a support page which does explain this but it has been some weeks ago that I looked now.

OK, the current method of students providing proof seems very long-winded, but it looks like we are stuck with it. I'm guessing the cost of an enterprise license is very expensive too.

Inventor was a bit of a pain with the licencing and the server but it (used) to have good support. Fusion is hostile to its users and really hates administrators, technical support is a PDF produced 3 years ago.

 

We're using Tinker cad but its hamstringed so you find limitations fast. I'd move to onshape but the education version also doesn't support federated logins and F1 is schools WANTS fusion.

Jus an update, they are changing the sign in process might make this possible. I started a thread for it here
