mitchell1981 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Hi All, Just getting started with inTune. Quick question before I get started. Which portal should I use? Intune for Education: https://intuneeducation.portal.azure.com or Intune Admin Center: https://endpoint.microsoft.com or both? If I do something in one is it reflected in the other? Don't want to waste my time setting stuff up, only to find I'm learning a portal that is already deprecated! Thanks.
Steve21 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Edu one has less options for an “easier management that even teachers can do” Go Endpoint unless you’re really only after a basic setup Steve 1
mitchell1981 Posted February 28, 2023 Author Posted February 28, 2023 'even teachers'! Gosh! Ok thanks! I'll go for Endpoint. Was just worried I might inadvertently be missing out on some Education features.
CHiLL Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Intune Admin Center - it has all the options you need. My boss went to an Intune conference recently and they confirmed that the education version is more for teachers. Think more along the lines of classroom management software, such as Impero, NetSupport, etc. Also - don't do as I did and use both. I learned the hard way that the settings that are applied in Intune Admin Center and Intune Education conflict with each other. 1
