Hi all,

So I have made a planned absence system for staff.

Staff sign in to an MS form, fill in details, request then gets sent to responsible person using an approval process, depending on approved or rejected, emails then get sent to various people with required details to arrange cover etc.

Issue I'm having is because I made the flow under my account, all the requests and approval/rejection emails appear as if they have come from me. Of course I have included the member of staffs name in the details but the prefilled top part of the emails still have my name in it as if I made the request and send the decision.

Is there anything I can do to get round this?

Thanks

Use V3 connectors instead of V2 if you want it from powerapps@

Or using V2 use a shared mailbox under advanced options (From (Send As))

Assuming it hasn't changed recently

I've been doing something similar today, and if your using the results from a MS Form, you can read the row from the excel online (business) sheet that was created, and get the e-mail address of the user that completed the form and pass that into the "Requestor" field in the "Start and Wait for Approval" task as the person who it should be from instead of the account your running the automate f.

I've also made sure the Form has been moved into a Team that the Automate account has access to instead of it just being a form in a users account as it's easier for future

As Steve mentioned, use the send an email (V2) and it has an option to add an address in the From (Send as) field after clicking 'Show advanced options'. Here you can add an address manually or use dynamic content to make it change the sender address based on field data. I should think you'll need permissions to send on behalf of though as running the flow is still tied to your account.

Thanks for the replies.

I knew about the from field on the email, but I don't really want to give send on behalf permission on e eryones account to me or any service account.

I have found the "requestor" field in the "Start an approval" box and used dynamic content to fill that with the responders email.

Will see how it goes

I'm using that form and it seemed to be fine so far.
