Setup for dual boot XP and Vista on a network workstation

We have some new workstations arriving soon which are XP and Vista dual boot. They will be replacing some XP machines on our network. We are moving from Windows Server 2000 to Server 2003 over the summer; the plan being that we remain XP until next summer when the remaining workstations will be replaced. How do we go about setting up the new workstations so they boot to just XP? Or is there a better idea?

I should not think they will arrive at your place with vista and xp on. What the sales people may have said is they have dual capability of having xp or vista installed. Edited July 4, 2008 by jsnetman

Are they meaning twinload, how it works is that when you first start the machine up it will give you the option of installing XP or Vista

Thanks Simon. Yes it's twinload. So when he time comes to switch over to Vista we will need to do some sort of upgrade will we?

There are usually two type of twin loads one with discs and one without the one with disks may have vista pre-installed but come with xp pro media or vise versa then the other is where you choose operating system upon first boot so if you choose vista then thats the operating system you stay with no downgrade and if you choose xp pro Im sure you stay with xp pro
