cheekycharly Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Does anyone have any good recommendations for a 4G sim provider that does unlimited or very high usage allowance? We have a small building that has a separate broadband line that I am wanting to cancel and move over to another provider. I have a Draytek 2862Lac and want to use its 4G capability as a stop gap which could be 1day or 1month. Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks, CC
SchoolsBroadband Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Hello. We do these and we can also give you a static ip too if need be. Do send me a PM if its of interest. Dave

I've used Smarty at home on my draytek router via a USB simcard dongle - £20 for unlimited data per month.
illySRSCMAT Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I just got my daughter unlimited SMS/Talk Time + 30gb Data on a rolling monthly contract with TalkMobile for £7.99 p.m. which I believe is an amazing bargain.

Dave Do you have a price list, and the SIMS with static IPs i assume don't run CGNAT so can be used in 4g routers for remote access to the devices?

Yes we do. If you call the sales team on 0 11 33 222 333 they'll let you know the costs. We also now support 5G as well. No CGNAT. We terminate our connections from Three via L2TP. We can also put the sims behind our hosted netsweeper and / or Fortigate products too. Thanks Dave
cheekycharly Posted January 16, 2023 Author Posted January 16, 2023 On the filtering talk does your system have the ability to work on a Cloud 365 setup i.e. no server to group policy push out an agent and associate it with a relevant group i.e. Student/Teacher. We are with BT Lancs but will be looking to get quotes to replace this if they cannot get us a better connection and cloud based filter that does not rely on on-premise servers.

Yeh, this is what I looked at but it does say in the small print that it is not for business use. Where the sim will be used for a couple of months there is only 2 pupils max ever onsite and two teachers with very little data usage so might get away with using as "Residential" during the time I need it.

We fully support Azure AD so the answer should be yes. If you send me a PM I can get one of the engineers to give you a call to discuss if you like? Thanks Dave
