E_G_R2 Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Hi, we have 3 of these in the school and today we had 2 short power-cuts within minutes of each other. All three of these projectors now won't work. There is no power light on them even though the power to the projector is working. Anyone know if there is some setting that needs fiddling with when they have been switched off without powering down.
DavR Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 We have the ED A111, and I know these have quite a few security options, although we don't use them. Looking at the service manual, p34 lists the security features - https://estadoc.hitachi.eu/servlet/FileViewer?DocumentName=YK-0599E_CP-A100_ED-A100_ED-A110.pdf. If there was a security lock on power outage, you'd surely have come across it already by now, though. I'd tend towards them being fried by a power surge, but all three of that model and nothing else sounds unlikely, doesn't it. 1
E_G_R2 Posted January 12, 2023 Author Posted January 12, 2023 Fixed!!!! The answer is in the manual but it doesn't really make it clear what to do. Turn off the unit with the rocker switch and unplug. WAIT at least 10 minutes if not a little bit more. Plug it back in and turn on with the rocker switch Wait a minute then the red power light will come on Simples 2
DavR Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Top tip! I'll remember that if any of ours pull the same stunt.
psydii Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Wow we have/had over a hundred of these... completely forgot that they do that in some circumstances!
