Chromebook - Need an app like Audacity

Hi, the primary school need a sound app on their Chromebooks that is similar to Audacity. https://www.audacityteam.org/

 

To save me testing out loads of Android apps, I wondered if anyone had any suggestions.

Depending on the spec of the Chromebook I've run Audacity successfully in Linux "mode". It appears as an app once installed.

If you want something web-based rather than an app that stores any data locally on a machine, then we found Soundtrap to be very capable. Users can switch between machines as needed, so they can use at home as well. Depending on exactly what your users want to do, the audio editing features in WeVideo are also very capable (complete with licensed Auto-Tune, I seem to remember), so you could go for a dull video / audio editing application.
