Joomla 1.5 help

Hi, Im new here but need some advice....

 

Im trying to setup the School website using Joomla 1.5...

 

Now the install is all done and im messing around with certain things... Im having a problem with menus.. We dont want the main menu on the left we want it to go across the middle...

Any help would be great

See, now on and off for 3 days ive been looking at this and now youve gone a suggested the most obvious thing EVER!
