Trying to get Mosyle as automated as possible, but something is not working.

I have a nice new Apple School Manager and Mosyle system to get setup.

 

I have the teachers in ASM. I have printed off their Apple IDs & passwords.

 

What I want to do is, turn on the iPad, join the WiFi, enter Apple ID and password, then automatically get Mosyle to install its management app and assign the iPad to the teachers profile. I also want it to list the teachers apple ID when I look at the iPads properties in Mosyle management GUI.

 

I have got the first part working which is to ask the teacher to sign in with there Apple ID, but the device just stays in limbo in Mosyle.

 

Any ideas?

Not familliar with Mosyle but how I do it in Jamf is use Smart Groups based on the department field in Active Directory. I have smart groups for all departments which also allows me to create more smart groups to say which sites they teach at. For example, our Senior School teachers will get slightly different setup to our Junior School teachers. You can scope config profiles and apps to these smart groups.

Not familair with Moysle either but the key to doing this would be understanding how you find users in your MDM, and putting those users into groups or departments, forget devices as it's far too time consuming.

 

Can you group users together by department or year group and have Moysle automatically create those groups when a user record is created?
