donkeymusic Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Afternoon, Just looking for some advice on how you set up laptops for exams. We currently have a load of standalone Win10 devices for the exams but as I have disabled everything on them, they are asking for activation, so looking to get around this by putting the devices on the network and managing via Group Policy. What setups do you all have and is there anything else I would need to consider? thanks for any advice offered
RLR Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 We move our exam devices to a different OU with more restrictions. We also have them setup to login automaticlly and then run a user GPO script to boot up the exam software. We use ExamWritePad which was created by a member of this forum. It's a basic word processing piece of software that allows you to control settings to your users needs. It also auto saves! 1
KK20 Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 we use a MAK key for W10 and office 2021 LTSC. Office 2021 has spellcheck etc hobbled. We then take them off the main network and join them to a local exam network that has a network printer attached. Invigilators have access to the printer, candidates do not. If you need to activate, just use a MAK key on them. 1
