Task Sequence Fails

We have new Lenovo laptops that have an 256GB NVMe card. When attempting to image them via SCCM/MECM it does not work.

 

After investigation Windows PE can't find the disk is says "No fixed disks found". Even though the computer boots into Windows, once in Windows it can find the disk.

We had the same issue with Lenovo NVMe drives. Turned out to be an Intel VMD setting in the bios. turning it off and the PXE/USB builds could then 'see' the disc.

I can confirm disabling the Intel VMD setting fixed the issue for us here.
