We have a daily news/student blog email sent out each day at the same time using a powershell script and a scheduled task. You could set something similar up on a server?

It's not for us, it's for a few members of staff that want to schedule various messages a different times of the week. Would rather the user be in charge of their own schedule rather than relying on us.

You could half-achieve this by using the built-in scheduled send feature of Gmail. The sender(s) would need to schedule each message, so it wouldn't satisfy the recurrence part of your problem. They could create themselves some message templates as required, though, to minimise the work required to queue up each new message.

To put a close on this, the members of staff didn't know about the standard Schedule Email so they are happy to load up bulk emails and schedule from there.
