[SIMS] - Fileset deployment

Hi all,

 

Recently the previous NM left and did no SIMS updates since April, I've spent my weekend getting this done, battling through permission issues and wondering if this is just another one of those. I've been releasing each patch/update one by one and letting them complete before releasing the next update. The following filesets are all erroring with the same error:

 

Fileset 2101

Fileset 2102

Fileset 2201

Fileset 2203

Fileset 2204

 

Error from Fileset 2204: Installation failed. Reason: CannotConnectToDatabase - Package: 705589a0-2875-43b3-88f8-fde8e8cdeeef

 

This was discovered after the exams officer was having issues with PLASC and needed Fileset 2204. If anyone has any ideas, I would be really appreciative as I'm stumped!

Solution Found!

 

Just in case it helps someone else in the future, I found the previous NM's SIMS credentials buried in SOLUS 3 Deployment UI

 

Environment > Targets > Services > SIMS DMS > Edit > Removed his SIMS user details and added my account.

 

Guess I'm going to have to make a generic user for just updating SIMS to prevent this happening for the future.

I was kicking myself for trying everything, and this fixed it instantly (mainly because no one mentioned they updated the SA details...)
