[android] Galaxy Tabs with GSuite - extra customisation?

I'm providing support for a primary school that's currently using GSuite with Chromebooks. They have a number of Samsung Galaxy Tab As that they want multiple children to use, but they want (as far as I can tell) the tablets to present the same interface, or at least the same user experience, as the Chromebooks - i.e. the children log in (using only the first part of their login, not the whole thing) then get a standard app layout but automatic logged-in access to Google Drive.

 

GSuite currently isn't set up for advanced mobile management (though it could be) which would give the option on individual personal accounts, but I can't think of any way that a tablet could be set up for individual Google login on the device - unless this could be done through Google Classroom? The ICT Co-ordinator said he wanted either the same login capability as the Chromebooks or some customised splash screen. He says he's seen something like this before, but can't give details - I'm sceptical, because I haven't come across an MDM that will do this (unless I'm missing something obvious). Has anyone come across an appropriate MDM or 3rd party app that will? The school's prepared to purchase a solution but it feels more like a coding problem than an MDM problem.

Thanks - I feared this. I can understand the problem - he wants Y2 children to use the tablets for taking photos and videos then be able to save/share those to Drive without the faff of logging in via a browser first. The only other way I can think of is to have a dedicated account with a shared drive, and have the Drive app on all tablets permanently logged into that, then it becomes someone's job - teacher or TA - to sort out the individual files later. Not ideal though.

Sell them and buy Chrome OS tablets, then remind them to not buy stuff without asking you first
